The company O2 Czech Republic extended its coverage with the mobile Internet 4G LTE in the first half of 2016. The network currently covers 90% of the Czech population. The LTE network is available in 5,500 Czech municipalities and at all motorways. O2 plans to extend the high-speed Internet coverage to 99% of the population by the end of this year. The operator has already invested CZK 1.5bn in the framework of an auction of four units in bands 1,800 and 2,600 MHz in the high-speed data network development.
