Komerční Banka’s net profit for shareholders grew 0.8% y/y to CZK 6.7bn in H1 2016. Loans extended to clients soared 9.9% to CZK 570.8bn. Client deposits grew 9.3% to CZK 694.3bn. The bank saw its client base grow 12,000 to 1 649 000. Tier 1 capital adequacy ratio indicator totalled 15.3%. Komerční Banka’s board of directors chairman and general director Albert Le Dirac’h has stated that the bank’s financial performance is strongly influenced by extreme interest rates and higher costs caused by regulation.
