Czech bank Česká spořitelna recorded a non-audited consolidated net profit in the amount of CZK 11.92bn, according to IFRS. This represents a growth by 7.1% y/y. deposits from customers increased by 9.4% to CZK 772.28bn. The gross volume of the client loan portfolio increased by 8.2% to CZK 585.95bn. Bank’s total assets amounted to CZK 1,085.8bn and the Tier 1+2 capital adequacy grew by 0.6 percentage point to 19.4%. The group Finanční skupina ČS registered 4.71 million clients. According to Tomáš Salomon, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Česká spořitelna, the volume of new mortgages showed a record-breaking volume of over CZK 40bn. The results were supported also by a good loan portfolio quality and more efficient processes making it possible for the bank to maintain the decreasing trend in operating expenses (-3.0% to CZK 13.2bn).
