Czech billionaire Finance Minister Andrej Babiš wants to narrow this year’s budget deficit to less than the government’s target, riding an economic rebound after years of austerity and a record long-recession. The full-year shortfall may reach CZK 100 billion or less, compared with the ceiling of CZK 112 billion mandated by the budget law, Babiš said in an interview in his office in central Prague today.
