Liberec Region will invest over CZK 1bn in 2016. The approved budget foresees spending totalling CZK 2.610bn. Approximately CZK 83m will be invested into education and social affairs. Further CZK 87m has been allocated for road repairs. One of the top projects will be the building of the European House at the cost of CZK 95m and the modernisation of Liberec Regional Hospital for CZK 50m. Governor Martin Půta (STAN) says that Liberec Region’s debt will drop to CZK 798m by the end of 2015 from CZK 1.152bn a year ago.
