In the 18 months that the current government has been in power, 196 investment projects worth almost CZK 108bn have been brought to the Czech Republic. This is written in an analysis by portal Businessinfo.cz, which added that these projects should generate more than 23,000 new jobs. Industry and Trade Minister Jan Mládek (ČSSD) said that especially investments with high value added are growing. The most active investor in the Czech Republic is Germany, which has planned 38 projects in a year and a half. Second place belongs to the USA with 21 projects. Korea is the leader with respect to the volume of investments, implementing projects worth CZK 29bn in the country. In terms of sectors, the automotive industry dominates with 67 new projects worth CZK 34.7bn.
