Doosan Škoda Power is a global centre for the development of steam turbines within the Doosan group and manages the development of turbines not only in Plzeň, but also in Korea. Doosan Škoda Power’s CEO Jiří Šmondrk has stated in an interview for ČIANEWS that the company develops e.g. new materials for high steam parameters in steam turbines and more progressive and precise production technologies. According to Mr. Šmondrk, additional investments into production include e.g. the reconstruction of the workplace for controlling assembly of turbines and new machinery for complex processing of turbine rotors. The biggest investment in the IT sector in 2015 is the new ERP system.
