The m/m drop in consumer prices is the result of a drop in fuel prices. This was stated in reaction to data from the Czech Statistical Office by Komerční Banka economist Viktor Zeisel. According to UniCredit Bank Czech Republic and Slovakia economist Patrik Rožumberský, a more significant drop was prevented by an increase in grocery prices. According to the chief economist of the Czech Banking Association, Eva Zamrazilová, the opposite influence of increasing salaries will start to be seen only in H2 2015, thanks to which it is necessary to count on low inflation also next year.
