The prices of heat will stagnate in 2016. This information was provided by executive council chairman of the Association for District Heating of the Czech Republic (TS ČR) who added that in the case of some gas-powered heating plant a lower price could be expected. The prices of heat from coal-powered heating plants will remain constant or increase slightly. If the Energy Regulatory Office stopped co-generation support in 2016, it could have a negative impact on the prices. TS ČR director Martin Hájek said that some heating plants were completing investments related to stricter air quality limits. These costs could increase the price of heat on average by up to 2%.
