The Ministry of Finance (MF) has halved its expenditure on the resolution of environmental damages established before privatisation. Thanks to twelve terminated environmental contracts and new transparent procurement rules, the ministry saved more than CZK 1bn compared to the original bid prices. Minister of Finance Andrej Babiš (ANO) expects that with these results, all environmental commitments of the state will be implemented for a price that will be by at least CZK 25bn lower compared to the so-called eco-tender.
