On April 14, 2016, Czech Railways (ÈD) opened three tenders for the delivery of trains. The tender for up to 20 electrical units, primarily for national fast trains, is worth CZK 4.60bn. The tender for up to 30 engine units for national fast trains on non-electrified routes is worth CZK 4.04bn. The enquiry for up to 50 express wagons for international long-distance transport with travel speed of at least 200 km/h is worth CZK 2.17bn.
