Tomáš Baťa University in Zlín (UTB) is building an educational complex (campus) on a 6,000 m2 lot in the centre of Zlín. The project’s value totals CZK 415m. 80% of the funding comes from the state budget and the rest from the university’s budget. The university’s PR referent, Jana Brázdilová, has told ČIANEWS that the building work will continue until the end of 2017. The facility will offer lecture and seminar rooms, as well as working rooms, for up to 4,000 students and 150 teachers. They will be used primarily by the Department of Humanities.
