Raiffeisenbank registered ca. 14% y/y increase in the loans extended in the corporate banking segment. Approximately one fifth of the growth may be attributed to small and medium enterprises, which the bank is targeting on long-term basis. Higher demand was driven significantly by the financing of ownership changes due to the concentration of the Czech market, as well as mere ownership changes. The bank is also managing to reduce the share of bad loans. Raiffeisenbank’s corporate banking director Václav Štětina has stated in an interview for ČIANEWS that the bank does not expect any major changes in 2016 and wants to maintain a similar growth rate for corporate loans as in 2015.
