On June 22, 2015, carmaker ŠKODA AUTO launched the production of the ŠKODA Superb Combi new generation model in the Kvasiny plant. The first manufactured model was the Superb Combi 2.0 TDI in Moon white metallic colour. The new model will go on sale in September 2015. The Kvasiny plant currently employs ca. 4,500 persons. ŠKODA AUTO plans to create up to 1,300 new jobs until 2018 and raise the production capacity to 280,000 cars per year. In the next three years the company will invest ca. CZK 7.2bn in Kvasiny.
