Government investors opened totally 2,217 tenders worth totally CZK 80.7bn for building companies in 8M 2016, up 25.5% for the number and 20.3% for value. The growth was driven primarily by big tenders opened by the Road and Motorway Directorate and the Railway Infrastructure Administration (SŽDC). This stems from an analysis by CEEC Research (CEEC). Metrostav’s general director Pavel Pilát has stated that almost half of tenders were evaluated and contracts were awarded to specific companies.
