Photovoltaic energy producer Solar Global will build its first power plant in Germany before the end of 2016. The project is being built in Schönwald near the Czech-German border near Aš. The power plant’s installed output will total 659.1 kWp. According to Solar Global’s board of directors chairman and founder Vítìzslav Skopal, the investment costs depend ranged between 980 and 1,200 euro per kWp, depending on requirements. The anti-dumping toll on panels implemented by the EU sets the minimum price at EUR 0.56 per Wp. The firm’s decision about building a solar power plant abroad was accelerated e.g. by the legislative uncertainty regarding the support for renewable energy resources in the Czech Republic.
