ŠKODA Transportation has lost the CZK 10bn contract for the delivery of 39 trains for National Express Rail. The carrier originally planned to buy the trains for suburban transport in Nuremberg, Germany. The project has been abandoned in the end. The spokesperson for ŠKODA Transportation, Lubomíra Černá, has told ČIANEWS that the decision was made by National Express Rail. ŠKODA TRANSPORTATION is currently analysing the decision’s consequences.
