Bernhard Maier, the current member of Porsche AG’s board of directors for sales and marketing, will become ŠKODA AUTO’s board of directors chairman with effect from November 1, 2015. ŠKODA AUTO’s current board of directors chairman Winfried Vahland will take over the management of the newly formed group region, North America. The changes are related to diesel engine emission manipulations. The spokesperson for ŠKODA AUTO, Josef Baláž, has told ČIANEWS that the potential manipulations concern ca. 1.2 million ŠKODA cars globally.
