The underground gas tanks on the territory of the Czech Republic are nearly 100 % full. Minister of industry and trade Jan Mládek (ÈSSD) said this at the 187th Žofín Forum. According to J. Mládek, the key for ensuring the safety of supplies is a diversification of sources and routes, which prevents a repetition of the January crisis from the year 2009. According to J. Mládek, the total capacity of the underground gas tanks in the Czech Republic compared to the total annual consumption puts the Czech Republic in one of the leading places in the EU.
