The Ministry of Transport (MD) has entered into an addendum to the contract with a consortium of companies led by Kapsch Telematic Services (Kapsch) on the continuation of the toll-system administration. The contract for the maximum period of three years has a value of at most CZK 5.26bn and factors in a 28% discount in the amount of CZK 1.54bn for the operation of the system. According to Kapsch, the contract is set to the maximum possible amount and many items are subject to the commissioner’s volume of drawing. On August 29, the ministry selected Deloitte Advisory as the project manager to help with the preparation of the tender for the operator of the new system. The ministry wants to announce a technologically neutral tender for the new toll system next year. At the latest by the end of 2019, the winner of the tender should take over the toll-system operation.
