The Energy Regulation Office (ERO) has introduced new indicators: indicative prices of the gas commodity. The values for 4Q 2016 were presented on August 30, 2016. Indicative prices of gas for cooking were calculated at CZK 1,011 per MWh. For water heating it is CZK 861, for heating it is CZK 811. Indicative prices are intended to help consumers determine, if they are not overpaying gas. The office will calculate them with quarterly periodicity. According to ERO chairperson Alena Vitásková, there are 88 dealers operating on the Czech gas market.
