An exciting new global initiative is set to unite individuals all over the world in November.

The 11Eleven Project is a not-for-profit creative scheme, taking place this year on 11/11/11, a date that only occurs once every hundred years.

For 24 hours on this day, anyone with access to a recording device will be encouraged to participate in creating a ‘global snapshot’ by either recording a short film, taking a picture, blogging, composing a piece of music or recording a significant sound to represent their environment.

After 11 November, submitted works will be collated into a DVD, a photo book and music album. All sales from these will be donated to various charities around the globe.

Danielle Lauren, Creative Director of the 11Eleven Project, has been fine-tuning the idea for ten years, and is now ready to unleash it on the rest of the world.

“I always believed that artists could contribute to making the world a better place. I wanted to use my passion for entertainment and storytelling to positively contribute,” she says.

The 11Eleven Project will be by the people, for the people, and will not cost anything to participate or to view the work. It’s a chance to rewrite the global narrative by ensuring that all people, from all backgrounds, get involved.

How to get involved:

Register online at www.11elevenproject.com
Record your story on 11/11/11
Upload your work to the website from 12/11/11 onwards
Watch your contribution become part of a global narrative. A free screening of the finished documentary will be held globally on 21 September 2012 – UN International Day of Peace
