Prague, Aug 3 (CTK) – The Czech Foreign Ministry is concerned about the continued ballistic missile tests repeatedly executed by North Korea and it should stop them as these activities violate United Nations resolutions, the ministry said in a press release yesterday.
According to the South Korean and U.S. armies, North Korea fired a ballistic rocket and two middle-range ballistic missiles yesterday.
“The Czech Foreign Ministry calls on North Korea to stop ballistic missile tests, to observe the international commitments arising from the relevant U.N. resolutions relating to ballistic technologies and the nuclear programme and to stop any actions that might step up the tension in the region,” the ministry said on its web page.
The South Korean army said the North Koreans fired the missile from the Hwanghaenamdo Province to the southwest of the capital of Pyongyang.
It is probably a Rodong middle-range missile. It could hit the whole of South Korea and most of Japan.
The U.S. army said two middle-range ballistic missiles were fired. One of them immediately exploded, while the route of the other one led above North Korea to the Sea of Japan.
The tests were resolutely denounced by the USA and Japan earlier yesterday.
