Jerusalem, June 8 (CTK special correspondent) – Young Czechs under 30 will be able to work in Israel for up to 12 months without a visa under an agreement signed by Foreign Minister Lubomir Zaoralek and Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely yesterday.
The agreement on a working holiday is yet to be approved by countries.
If it takes effect, the agreement will enable young Czechs and Israelis aged 18-30 to stay, travel and work within the other state for twelve months without visas.
The Czech Republic has a similar agreement with Canada and New Zealand.
At present, Czechs do not need visas for trips to Israel if their stay does not exceed three months and if it is not for any gainful activity.
For the rest of cases, visas are necessary.
Zaoralek has been in the Middle East since Saturday. He visited the Gaza Strip and delivered a speech at a security conference in Herzliya.
He said Prague was ready to host the Israeli-Palestinian peace talks.
Zaoralek will end his trip this afternoon.
