Prague, July 13 (CTK) – The Czech Republic will provide development aid worth 12 million crowns for Palestine under the proposal submitted by the Foreign Ministry and approved by the government yesterday.
The money is to pay for the roof photovoltaic panels at nine schools and hospitals in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
The Czech Republic already helped Palestinian authorities to implement energy projects. The prepared projects will be materialised in cooperation with the Palestinian Energy Authority.
Under the plan, the assembly of the photovoltaic panels is to cut the operational costs at the schools and hospitals and to increase their energy sufficiency.
In some cases, this will be the only reliable source of energy for the institutions, the Foreign Ministry said.
The donation will be distributed from 2015 to 2017.
