Prague, Nov 6 (CTK) – Miroslav Lidinsky, 44, was re-elected chairman of the Czech parliamentary Dawn-National Coalition party by the delegates to its weekend congress, Dawn said in a press release yesterday.
Party secretary Jan Zilvar wad elected its first deputy chairman, while MPs Jana Hnykova and Olga Havlova became the other deputy heads.
The participants in the congress also decided that the party would promote direct democracy, responsibility of politicians, transparent funding of non-profit organisations and enforceability of law and justice in its programme .
The opposition Dawn, which mainly highlights anti-immigrations issues in the Chamber of Deputies, organised the congress in reaction to its fiasco in the October regional and Senate elections.
The party has now no representatives in regional assemblies and none of its candidates advanced to the second round of the elections to one-third of the Senate.
