Prague, March 10 (CTK) – Chinese President Xi Jinping will arrive in the Czech Republic on March 28 for a 40-hour visit during which he will visit Prague Castle, the presidential seat, and the presidential chateau in Lany, near Prague, Czech President Milos Zeman’s spokesman Jiri Ovcacek told CTK yesterday.
He said a business forum is also planned.
According to the Czech Television (CT) public broadcaster, Xi Jinping will meet Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka at breakfast.
The first visit by a Chinese president to the Czech Republic will start with a meeting with Zeman in Lany. On the second day of the visit, Xi Jinping will be received with military honours at Prague Castle, Ovcacek said.
Several dozen Chinese businesspeople are to attend the forum.
Zeman said previously he expects Chinese investments worth 45 billion crowns in the Czech Republic and that about 20 contracts, including in the spa industry, are ready for being signed.
A strategic partnership agreement is also to be signed.
The Czech Republic will be Xi Jinping’s sole stop-over on his way to the United States.
