Prague, April 26 (CTK) – Outstanding Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt will take part in the forthcoming Golden Spike meet in Ostrava for the eight time and he will run the 100 metre race, the organisers of the meet told a press conference yesterday.
They said this would be the second race Bolt would run this season.
Bolt holds the 100 metres and 200 metres world records. He won six Olympic gold medals.
The Golden Spike IAAF World Challenge will take place in Ostrava, north Moravia, on Friday, May 20.
Bolt ran at the Golden Spike for the first time in 2006. He ran 100 metres three times, 200 metres three times, and 300 metres once. Along with London, Ostrava is the only place in Europe where Bolt has raced seven times so far.
Golden Spike manager Alfons Juck said Bolt’s physical condition was good now. Around the turn of the year, he had problems with a twisted ankle.
