PCC retained the T20 league title on a scorching day at Kriket Vinoř. Electing to bat first, the hosts wobbled at 21-4 but Sri Lankans Rajh and Sudesh struck some lusty blows to bring the score up to respectability. Wickets in the first two overs boosted their cause, but Dresden wouldn’t go down without a fight and Vignesh and Sami weathered the storm. Sudesh and Martin joined forces in the middle overs to pose a constant threat which eventually overwhelmed the visitors, and skipper Prakash bowled the last man to ensure victory.
With the two leagues now completed, Prague welcomes visitors for the rest of the summer, with teams from England, Germany and Holland joining us for fun weekends over the next two months. Keep up to date with all the action at www.czechcricket.cz.
