Ostrava, North Moravia, July 17 (CTK) – The Czech music festival Colours of Ostrava opened with a concert by Bjork who presented her latest album Vulnicura in front of an audience of some 29,000 people last night.
The Icelandic singer was accompanied by an ensemble of 37 musicians and singers and her latest show included videos made for an exhibition on Bjork at New York’s Museum of Modern Art (MoMA).
Last week, Bjork presented her show in the neighbouring Slovakia at the Pohoda festival.
Bjork was to perform at the Colours of Ostrava, a festival held in an unused industrial compound, already in 2012, but she cancelled her concert over health problems then.
Bjork performed in the Czech Republic in 1990 for the first time, as a singer of the Icelandic rock band The Sugarcubes.
