Prague, Jan 18 (CTK) – The Czech National Security Council yesterday discussed an anti-terrorist package, security risks related to migration and fight against terrorism, the Government Office press section has told CTK.
The aim is to propose measures that could improve the security of the state, it said.
The Council’s board dealt with problems of medium- and long-term threats and risks and an audit of national security that Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka ordered last November.
According to previous information that CTK received from the Interior Ministry, the security audit would concentrate on terrorism, migration, Czech extremist groups, economic stability, energy independence and influence of foreign powers on Czech territory.
Further work on the recommendations for the antiterrorism package would lead to the creation of an action plan within which the measures would be implemented, the Government Office said.
This would include a system of four degrees of a security threat that would be applied to let citizens know how serious a possible terrorist threat was.
The Council also dealt with the organisational structure of the Czech military and a strategy for crime prevention for the next five years.
