Mikulov, South Moravia, Jan 27 (CTK) – President Milos Zeman will declare the Czech regional elections for this October, Zeman said during his tour of the South Moravia Region, confirming the planned date, yesterday.
“I believe that the best will win in the regional elections whose date I will really set for October,” Zeman said at a press conference at the close of his visit.
The previous regional elections were also held in October.
In 2012, the Social Democrats (CSSD) won them with 26.6 percent of the vote. They were followed by the Communists (KSCM) with 20 percent and the Civic Democratic Party (ODS) with 12 percent.
