GE Aviation, a General Electric division, will build its new headquarters for the development, testing and production of turbo-propeller engines in the Czech Republic. It confirmed its intent on January 18, 2016 in a joint memorandum with the Czech government. In 2020, the centre will start manufacturing ATP turbo-propeller engines to drive a one-engine aircraft of the US company Textron Aviation. Overall, GE Aviation is planning to create over 500 new jobs here. As ČIANEWS reported earlier, the investment in the Center of Excellence turbo-propeller engine plant will amount to about USD 400m.
