Václav Havel’s death looks like mirroring his life: the pomp and ceremony of his official state send-off in the imposing St. Vitus’ Cathedral at Prague Castle being followed by smaller and more private ceremonies at the city’s main crematorium and at the nearby family vault in one of Prague’s biggest cemeteries. Friday’s two-hour state funeral service is to be led by Archbishop of Prague Dominik Duka, starts at noon in a cathedral that is one of the dominant landmarks of the Czech capital.
