Prague, Nov 24 (CTK) – The cargo spaces of Czech airports will be guarded by their staff or state armed corps, not private agencies like now, it ensues from the draft of a National Security Programme that could take effect next February, Vitezslav Hezky told CTK yesterday.
Hezky, spokesman for the Civil Aviation Authority (UCL), said the draft is now being commented on by ministries.
The programme also defines how airports should handle sensitive information and their security rules.
Hezky said the programme reacts to the legislative change of February that transfers the supervision of the protection of airports from the Transport Ministry to the UCL.
Besides large international airports, the legislation also focuses on small sport airports owned by aero clubs.
The security programme will also define the group of people who can have access to classified or sensitive information.
