Prague, May 7 (CTK) – Dozens of members and supporters of the Russian motorcycling club The Night Wolves, close to President Vladimir Putin, arrived this afternoon in Prague centre, where a few people tried to stop them from crossing the Wenceslas Square, but the police pulled them off the road.
According to a CTK reporter, no one was injured and the police allowed the protesters to leave.
With their ride across Europe, the motorcyclists who are criticised for nationalism want to celebrate the end of World War Two.
The group of some 60 arrived in Prague from Vienna. They were joined by about 50 Czech motorcyclists on the outskirts of Prague.
Later this afternoon, the motorcyclists arrived at Prague’s Olsany Cemetery where they were welcomed by about 100 applauding people.
