Prague, March 12 (CTK) – Roughly 40 people took part in a carnival march to promote feminism and fight against fascism, staged by the Charles University Feminist Society in the Prague centre Saturday.
There were men among the marchers. Speakers stressed that feminism and anti-fascism shared their objectives.
One of the women said in connection with the migrant crisis, the extreme right was trying to use the topic of sexual violence and oppression of women, highlighted by feminists in the long run.
The march was headed by a van that played dancing music. Above it, there was the flag of the leftist Anti-Fascist Action.
The marchers chanted “Our Bodies Are Not Your Bodies,” carrying the banners saying “Feminism is for Women, not for Nazis.”
