Prague, April 28 (CTK) – ANO, the Social Democrats (CSSD) and the Three-Party Coalition or Greens, the Christian Democrats (KDU-CSL) and STAN signed a coalition agreement in Prague after six-month long negotiations, Karel Brezina, head of the CSSD assembly members’ group, has told CTK.
The agreement on the “old-new coalition” in the capital was signed by 34 out of the total of 65 assembly members, Brezina said.
The coalition disintegrated last October. Since then, the parties have been negotiating about its renewal.
All assembly members of the coalition parties or members of their groups had to sign the agreement.
“We have submitted the signed document this morning,” Brezina said.
After the 2014 election, the coalition had a majority of 33 votes in the 65-seat Prague Assembly. Now it has one more, or 34 votes, after Monika Krobova Hasova joined the CSSD group. She was originally running for TOP 09, but left the party after the election. Until recently, she was an independent assembly member.
