Scott.Weber Workspace’s newly opened Praga Office & Garden workspaces offer businesses and independent professionals a versatile working atmosphere. The building, which is located in the heart of Karlín, represents the district’s industrial heritage and the genius loci of the former Praga car assembly plant, which was previously housed here. The automotive industry’s influence can also be seen in the overall office layout solution, right down to the tiniest furniture specifics.

The building atmosphere
Praga Office & Garden is a historically significant building with a distinctive architectural style. Its architecture is based on the district’s former industrial character. Concrete, metal, stone, painted steel, brass details, cognac leather, and terrazzo are only a few of the materials used.
The architecture and interior represent the traditional elements and characteristics of both the Praga brand cars and their workshops. For example, the chairs and sofa covers were inspired by the leather upholstery of car interiors with the classic quilted detail.
The design is based on the former Praga car assembly plant’s initial industrial style. The workshop where the cars were once built may be an example. This is now reflected in the interior, which features a free-flowing layout that creates the lounge zone and is perfect for imaginative meetings.
Workplace spirit in Scott.Weber
Scott.Weber offers an inspiring and serviced work atmosphere in Praga Office & Garden and seven other desirable locations in Prague to meet the diverse needs of their clients. They can use modern offices for privacy as well as stylish coworking spaces like Praga’s Sprint Lounge. Clients may also hold meetings in representative conference rooms or use event spaces with cutting-edge audiovisual technology.
The new podcast studio, located on the ground floor of the Praga Office & Garden and visible from the street, is fitted with a full technical suite for clients and external podcast hosts, including high-quality microphones, a camera, and post-production equipment.
While designing the building, it was important to work with visually interesting spaces on the ground floor to expose the street. At the same time, the key effort for us was to create spaces for undisturbed work and relaxation. Therefore, the rear part is visually separated by rotating panels and conceived as a “modern workshop.” The individual blocks of soft seating, intimate meeting space and face-to-face seating are inspired by the authentic car upholstery and dominated by three colors referring to the typical Praga cars shell varnish
said Ivo Kratochvíl, the architect of the interior design of common areas and meeting rooms.
Outdoor activities
The Praga Office & Garden building provides an ideal working atmosphere that can be customized to meet the needs of individuals and businesses. At the sunny Sprint Lounge café, visitors and clients will enjoy a coffee made by a professional barista. The spacious private garden provides a perfect setting for corporate meetings, recharging batteries, and hosting open-air activities. The versatile offices are complemented by a natural, peaceful oasis in the heart of Karlín. Barbecuing is also possible in the backyard, as well as relaxing with a game of ping pong. Clients are encouraged to develop new ideas in the game zone, which is fitted with a parked car that acts as a couch, in keeping with the overall theme of the project.
